Curvy Kate: Tease me

Ostin Curvy Katen Tease me -rintaliivit ihan vaan siksi, kun halusin niin kovasti. Tiesin, että kuppikoko on liian pieni mutta halusin vain niin kovasti, että nämä rintsikat toimisivat minulla... Kuten kuvista näkyy, ulkonäössä ei ole mitään vikaa ja rintsikat muotoilevat aivan mielettömän ihanan rintavaon.

Valitettavasti kuppikoko tosiaan on liian pieni. Niin pieni, että tunnen rintsikoissa oloni tosi paljastetuksi ja epätuetuksi. Yksikin kuppikoko lisää olisi tuonut tosi paljon paremman tuen: nyt vain pelkään rintojeni pullahtavan ulos liiveistä. Sen takia yritänkin nyt myydä liivejä, sillä laput ovat vielä kiinni. Jos ne eivät mene kaupaksi, ne jäävät ns. sexytime-rintsikoiksi. :-)

Ajattelen, että nämä liivit sopisivat hyvin jollekulle, joka käyttää yleensä Curvy Kateissa GG-H-kuppia ja Panachessa G-GG-kuppia. Minulle ne vain ovat kupista liian pienet. :-( Rintaliivit ovat mielestäni tosi kauniit ja mukavan tuntuiset, mutta olkaimet saisivat olla vähän jämäkämmät. Nyt ne tuntuvat venyvän turhan paljon, mutta se voi johtua myös siitä että olkaimille tulee painoa liikaa kun kuppi ei tue tarpeeksi. Toivon vain kovasti, että Curvy Kate ottaisi tähän malliin isompiakin kuppeja.

 In English: I bought this bra in the biggest cup they make, 38G. I didn't even get it very cheap, as the big cups seem to sell the fastest in this style. I just so desperately wanted to squish my boobs into this lovely thing and for it to work. As you can see it pushes my breasts up and molds them into perfect round boobs! The bra cups are pretty shallow but I guess that's what makes the bra push the breasts so up: there's not much projection and as the cup is very open on top the excess breast tissue forms a beautiful round shape without ugly bulging (at least in the right size...).

Even though the bra is at least 2 cup sizes too small, it's a beautiful piece of work. I love the lace overlay and the colours are absolutely beautiful and vibrant. The bra itself felt very sturdy but unfortunately the straps were pretty stretchy, thin and felt unsupportive. I would've preferred Curvy Kate used the same strap material they use in their unpadded bras.

Unfortunately I got too much quadraboob in this bra for it to work. :-( I would've been tucking myself into the bra all the time and felt very unsupported in this bra, which is why I'm now trying to sell it forward and just PRAYING for Curvy Kate to make this bra in the bigger cups as well. I know my pictures prove that this is a bra that could work up to a K cup, for sure!

Curvy Kate kevät/kesä 2013 / Curvy Kate Spring/Summer 2013

Oih, katsokaapa mitä ihania värejä Curvy Katen kevään mallistossa on! Löysin paljon omia suosikkejani, vaikka CK:n liivit eivät olekaan täydellisiä omille rinnoilleni. Ja btw, tämä ei ole mainos vaikka siltä ehkä kuulostaakin... :D Olen vain niin kikseissä näistä uusista väreistä!

Toivon vain kovasti, että Curvy Kate laajentaisi kokovalikoimaansa topatuissakin rintaliiveissä. Showgirls-linjan rintaliivit myisivät kuin häkä, jos niitä vain saisi isommissa kupeissa ja laajemmassa ympärysvalikoimassa!

In English: I'm really excited about CK's new designs for SS2013. I'll now go through some of my favourite designs with you, hope you enjoy! And by the way, I'm not getting paid for this in money or bras. :D

I just wish Curvy Kate would make a better size range for the padded bras as well. Their Showgirls range would sell like crazy if they made it in bigger cups and perhaps smaller bands as well!

Lottie-liivistä on tullut ihana printtiversio! Kokoja löytyy 60-90D-K. / Lottie has a new wonderful print. This is something really fresh compared to CK's previous unpadded styles. Sizing is the usual unpadded line's 28-40 D-K.

Entice kuuluu CK:n Showgirls-mallistoon ja siinä onkin valitettavasti rajatumpi kokovalikoima, 60 D-J, 70 D-HH, 75 D-H, 80 D-GG ja 85 D-G. Halusin kuitenkin näyttää tämänkin mallin, koska se sopisi ihanasti hääalusasuksi! / Entice is now in gold-ivory tones and has the typical Showgirl range sizing of 28-30 D-J, 32 D-HH, 34 D-H, 36 D-GG and 38 D-G. Even though I'm really annoyed by the limited size range, this would make an absolutely stunning bridal lingerie set!

Lopuksi vielä uusi Smoothie, joka on saumaton rintaliivi. Valitettavasti tämäkin on pienemmällä kokovalikoimalla. / The new molded Smoothie raspberry tone looks great, but unfortunately this is in the limites size range as well.

Väsynyt vihaamaan / Tired of body hatred

 Haluaisin tänään puhua eräästä asiasta, joka on mietityttänyt ja surettanut minua viime aikoina.

Monet isorintaiset naiset kokevat hengenasiakseen tehdä pesäeron heidän ja lihavien välillä. Ymmärrän kyllä, että voi joskus olla turhauttavaa jos ihmiset olettavat isorintaisen naisen tai kurvikkaan naisen olevan lihava.

On kuitenkin tärkeää ymmärtää, että on olemassa hoikkia pienirintaisia naisia, hoikkia isorintaisia naisia, lihavia pienirintaisia naisia ja lihavia isorintaisia naisia. Rintojen koko, muodokkuus ja lihavuus ovat vain eri asioita.

Minua ärsyttää ajatus, jonka mukaan lihavuus olisi vartalotyyppi. Se ei ole! Kaikki lihavat naiset eivät ole omenan muotoisia, vaan heissä on päärynöitä ja muita muotoja siinä missä hoikissakin naisissa.

Ei tehdä hallaa toisillemme puhumalla rumasti muiden naisten vartaloista, jooko? Se lisää vain omaakin itseinhoamme. Olemme kaikki yksilöllisiä ja ansaitsemme painoindeksistämme, muodoistamme ja rinnoistamme riippumatta täyden kunnioituksen itseltämme ja toisiltamme.

In English: I'm really annoyed about one thing and it's making me exhausted.


Reading lingerie blogs and interacting with other women about our body image and bra issues has really helped me a lot with my own issues as well. There's still one thing I see over and over again: some big breasted women feeling the need to separate themselves from women like me. You know what I mean. F A T.


I do believe it's annoying that many people don't know the difference between big breasts and fat. I get that. But being fat does NOT mean you can't have big breasts or a curvy figure. It's just a completely different thing.


Fat or obese is a word that describes your build or body fat percentage. IT IS NOT A BODY SHAPE. There are curvy fat women, pear shaped fat women, triangular shaped fat women. There are also big breasted fat women and small breasted fat women. Full bust, small bust or no bust, it is not dependent on your BMI.


Being a lingerie blogger and identifying myself as a woman with big breasts it really hurts me to see other women talking about these things by playing down other women. I don't want to put the blame on anyone. I'm actually very proud of most of the blogging scene: I love the body acceptant attitude most of you have and the way we talk about our (meaning our own and others') bodies. But I have to say I've seen some conversations that make me feel like we still have a long road ahead of us.


Why is it so hard to see that we come in many shapes and weight categories? This has a lot in common with the "real woman" discussion; you've all seen those "motivational" pictures that announce curvy women to be the real ones and implicate model-like women "not real". We are all real women and it's important to say it out loud.


And hey, one more thing. Fat is not contageous. I'm curvy AND fat. I have a  big bust AND I'm fat. That doesn't make you fat even if you are curvy and/or have big breasts. Don't be scared.

Pakkomielle / I'm obsessed

Tiedän ettei minun pitäisi edes ajatella sitä, mutta olen himoinnut liian kauan Curvy Katen Tease me-rintaliiviä. Ongelmana vain on, että koot loppuvat ympäryksessä 38/85 G-kuppiin, joka todennäköisesti on minulle aivan liian pieni. Muissa CK:n liiveissähän sopiva koko on minulle 40/90 H/HH -kuppi.

Olen vain nähnyt liian herkullisia kuvia kyseisistä rintaliiveistä vaikka liivit ovat liian pienet, joten en vain pääse asiasta yli enkä ympäri. Katso ainakin Broods Big Bras -blogista lisää kuvia. The Jawdropper, todellakin! Minun on pakko saada Tease me, vaikka se jäisikin pelkkään baarikäyttöön muutaman kerran vuodessa. Ottaen huomioon että kuljin vuosikaudet koossa 95D, saan kai hairahtua ostamaan vielä yhdet liian pienet rintaliivit jotka antaisivat ihanan rintavaon?

In English: I know I shouldn't even think about it but I'm obsessed with Curvy Kate's Tease me bra. Ever since I saw these epic boobs -pictures on  Broods Big Bras I haven't gotten it out of my head. Since I wore 42D's for years because of the massively awesome cleavage they gave me I guess I could use a 38G's when I have the need of showing my assets? Couldn't hurt once in a while if I just wore the bra a couple of hours at the time? Oh please, tell me I can?

Ewa Michalak: PL Onyks

Nyt arvostelua ja kuvia Ewa Michalakin PL Onyks-liivistä. Lyhyestä virsi kaunis, sillä näin pitkän tauon jälkeen omien kuvien katsominen tuntuu jotenkin vastenmieliseltä. Tässäpä hyvä syy blogata rintaliiveistä: kun katselee säännöllisesti kuvia itsestään rintsikoissa, muuttuu suhtautuminen omaan vartaloon neutraaliksi tai jopa positiiviseksi. Nyt olen näemmä valunut takaisin lähtöpisteeseen enkä voi olla tuijottelematta läskejäni ja roikkuvia rintojani, vaikka pointin pitäisi olla ihan muu...

Kyseessä on siis liivi, jossa on irroitettavat olkaimet ja kolme erilaista vaihdettavaa olkainta: tavalliset (kuvissa päällä), pehmustetut olkaimet ja halterneck-olkaimet. Olen tähän mennessä käyttänyt vain tavallisia ja niitäkin joudun käyttämään väärin päin (se säätöhomma edessä, kuten kuvissa näkyy) koska toisin päin pelkään olkaimien lipsahtavan paikoiltaan. Luulen kuitenkin, että useimmilla naisilla tällaista ongelmaa ei ole, vaan se johtuu tavastani pitää rintaliivin olkaimia A:n muotoisesti hartioillani. Olen kuitenkin lukenut rintaliivistä useita arvosteluja, eikä niissä missään mainita tästä pulmasta. PL Onyksista ovat kirjoittaneet muun muassa Invest in your chest, Curvy Wordy, ja Stack DD.

Olen käyttänyt liiviä nyt noin kuukauden melkein joka päivä. Näin ei kuitenkaan kannattaisi tehdä, jos haluaa liiviensä pysyvän mahdollisimman hyvänä pitkään. Olenkin piakkoin tekemässä EM:lle uutta tilausta koossa 100H. Kokeilen siis vielä isompaa kuppia, koska kaaritukien keskiosa ei enää ole niin napakasti rintakehässäni kiinni kuin ennen.

Kokonaisuudessaan tämä liivi on minusta ihana. Pidän sen yksinkertaisuudesta ja käytetyt materiaalit ovat ensiluokkaisen pehmeitä.  Tämä on mukavin rintaliivi jota olen ikinä omistanut! Luulen sen liittyvän toki (melkein) oikeaan kokoon, mutta myös siihen että topatuissa rintaliiveissä myös kaarituet ovat usein pehmeän materiaalin sisällä eivätkä siis tunnu ikäviltä. Vaikka puhunkin topatuista liiveistä, eivät EM:n liivit kuitenkaan mielestäni lisää rinnan kokoa: ne vain piilottavat nännit, muotoilevat kauniisti ja lisäävät mukavuutta.

In English: This is me wearing the PL Onyks in 100GG. I bought it in May and have been wearing it almost constantly! I know that's not good if you want your bras to last a long time. But I'm still establishing my real size and don't want to spend a fortune in a bra wardrobe that I can't wear after 6 months! 


That being said, I'm going to try my next EM's in 100H. As I wrote before, the central gore isn't as flat against my chest as it used to be. I also believe I'll get more lift as the bra covers more of my chest. One thing I've noticed is that in my size the plunge model isn't at all too plungy! I think that it works well as an everyday bra since the central gore really is quite high for a plunge bra. Actually I couldn't wear a bra much higher than this since the central gore would peak out of most of my tops!


I won't bother you with writing a very detailed review about this bra since there are so many amazing reviews already! If you're interested in other reviews of the same bra, read at least the reviews made by Invest in your chest, Curvy Wordy, and Stack DD. 

Some things I'd still like to mention: again, I have issues with straps. They are a bit too short for me and if I wear them the right way (the adjustement thingy on the back) it slides easily off because I wear my bra straps in an A-shaped angle. I also can't wear the comfort straps because of this and I haven't even tried the halterneck-strap yet since it looks so short! I've been thinking of buying a separete bra strap set from EM in a bigger size since my proportions don't clearly work so well in their measurement charts. Again, this is a problem I've never heard anyone else having in EM bras so i suspect it's not a very common one.

But there's no problem with wearing the adjustement thing (what the hell is it called, anyway???) on the front. I actually think it's kind of  practical since I could adjust strap length very easily while wearing the bra. At first it felt kind of strange but now I'm completely used to it. So I'd say don't be afraid of this bra even if you wear your straps like me!

Pahoittelen blogitaukoani ja laiskaa vastailua kommentteihinne! Olen mennyt naimisiin ja rintaliiviasiat ovat olleet vähän vähemmän mielessä. :-)

Käytän tällä hetkellä lähes yksinomaan Ewa Michalakeja koossa 100GG. Kainaloläskini ovat alkaneet siirtyä takaisin rintoihin sen verran, että taidan siirtyä H-kuppiin piakkoin. Kupin pienuuden huomaa siitä, ettei rintaliivien keskiosa ole kunnolla rintakehää vasten vaan hieman ilmassa.

Kyseisen koon liivit ovat alkaneet painaa rintojen alapuolelta ja keskikohdasta muutaman tunnin käytön jälkeen. Onko jollakulla kokemusta, mistä tällainen kertoo? Epäilen sen liittyvän kupin pienuuteen: kun rintaliivin keskiosa ei painaudu rintakehää vasten, paine jakautuu vain sille alueelle jossa kaarituki todella koskee ihoa. Tällöin tuki ei jakaudu tasaisesti ja rintaliivi painaa. Tämä nyt on vain omaa järkeilyäni... Kertokaa ihmeessä, jos teillä on jotain ideoita tämän ongelman ratkaisuun!

In English: I'm sorry I've been away so long! Since last blog post, I've gotten married and gone through a lot of changes in my life. So that's why bra's haven't always been on my mind!

One reason why I haven't written so much is because my bra nightmares aren't as bad as before. I've now found that Ewa Michalak's are the most comfy bras for me. I use them now in a 100GG, but my breast tissue has remigrated again so I need a bigger cup again.

In 100GG the central gore isn't flat anymore against my ribcage. There's about 1 cm between the bra and my ribcage. I just don't understand how my breasts can grow so fast. I just bought the PL Onyks about a month ago and it was perfect!


The bra isn't now as comfortable as it used to be. I could wear it for 12 hours with no problem, but now it starts to dig in at the wires under my breasts and the lower part of central gore. Any ideas why this is? I'm thinking it's because the pressure isn't contributed on the entire wire (because part of it doesn't touch my ribcage) and that's why there's too much pressure on the parts where the wire is flat against my ribcage. Does this make any sense? I'm also wondering if the band could be too tight and causing this. Please, comment below!
